The Bermuda Scout Association has launched a new website offering a wealth of information on the scouting community in Bermuda.

The website, www.scouts.bm, designed by local IT firm Fireminds Ltd., includes a breakdown of the scouting age groups and troop locations, a calendar of all scouting camps and events, and an application form to register for scouts. There is also information on how to volunteer with the Scout Association of Bermuda.

Chief Commissioner of Scouts, Geoff Rothwell remarked, “The new website is a great way to bring scouting in Bermuda into the 21st Century.

“For the past few years, we have had a presence on Facebook, but that was not allowing us to convey the same volume of information that we can get out on a website.

“Scouts.bm not only provides information to parents on what their children will be exposed to in scouting, but it also provides information to those who may be interested in volunteering with us”.
